Wrapping Up Spring Reading Things for 2010

Since the calendar says it is the first day of Summer, that must mean it is time for the wrap up post for Spring Reading Thing 2010.

My biggest goal was to finish all 15 books on my list. I read 19 books, but I didn't finish the books on my list. Why not? Because one of the books on my list just came out this month, and I didn't get my copy until Friday night. I am 120 pages into it (hoping to be half way by the time I go to bed tonight, but with an ultimate Frisbee game, I don't know for sure if that will happen or not), so I will be read before June is over. And, for the first time since I found Callapidder Days' bi-annual reading challenges, I won't have any carry over books.

Did you see that?

I have no carry over books!

Okay, so it's not quite finishing everything on the list I started with, but I'm still pretty excited about that.

So, let's get to what I actually did read. All links take you to my review at Epinions:

From my original list:
Dem Bones' Revenge by Kris Neri
OffWorld by Robin Parrish
The California Roll by John Vorhaus
The Thin Man by Dashiell Hammett
Corpse on the Cob by Sue Ann Jaffarian
Revenge for Old Times' Sake by Kris Neri
Death of a Trophy Wife by Laura Levine
Double Minds by Terri Blackstock
The 9th Judgment by James Patterson
The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan
Exposure by Brandilyn Collins
Rolling Thunder by Chris Grabenstein
Mrs. Pollifax on the China Station by Dorothy Gilman
Magic and other Misdemeanors by Michael Buckley

Books read not on my list:
The Crime Writer by Gregg Hurwitz
Trixie Belden and the Mystery of the Missing Heiress by Kathryn Kenny
ChiRunning by Danny Dreyer (Not reviewed)
Bundle of Trouble by Diana Orgain
The Magician's Nephew by C. S. Lewis

Book in Progress:
Set Sail for Murder by R. T. Jordan

So there you have it. A challenge mostly met.

I'll see you in the Fall with a completely new set of books.

TRIXIE BELDON!!! I read them all when I was a kid. I didn't know if they were still in print. Congrats on reading 15. I was happy with my 5 (although one of them was 974 pages). :)

Awesome job!!! I'm very impressed that you have no carry over books! Truly a great accomplishment. Of course, now you'll have to do that in the fall, too, right? :)
