Waiting on Wednesday - Some Wishlist Highlights

So, there's a Wednesday book meme I've been thinking about participating in for a while, but I've never gotten around to it.  It's Waiting on Wednesday, and it is used to highlight an upcoming book we can't wait to read.  Well, since this week's Weekly Geeks is also about our wishlist, I had to participate and combine the two.

Up first is Stork Raving Mad, the 12th Meg Langslow mystery by Donna Andrews.  This one's actually out in about a month.  Here's a product description:

September will see the release of three books by authors I love.  And two of them are vampire themed books, too.

Rhys Bowen will release the 4th in her Royal Spyness series.  This series is about the life of a minor royal in 1930's England - Georgie is 34th in line for the crown.  In this book, Royal Blood, she heads off to Transylvannia to be the official representative at a state wedding.  I'm not sure of the details beyond that, but all of Rhys' books are book, so I know I'll enjoy it.

Also in the vampire vein is the start of Sue Ann Jaffarian's new vampire series, Murder in Vein.  I'm not completely sure what will be happening in this book.  I do know a woman learns about the existence of vampires in modern day LA after her life is saved by them.  Sue Ann is also promising it isn't the normal take on the vampire story, and since I love her other books, I will give this one a try.

Finally, September will also see the release of Arsenic and Old Paint by Hailey Lind.  I've got to admit I still need to read the third in this series, but I hope to be ready for this book when it comes out.  I am happy to see a fourth book since the series has changed publishers.  The main character is an artist with a less than lawful past in San Francisco, and these books are always fun romps through the art world.
